ABOUT
Maanushi Foundation (MF) registered Trust is one of the non-profit organizations existing in Saraswathipuram, Mysuru. There are four members in the board who are working passionately for the development of the MF. At present MF is working for pro-poor women group and organizing them to promote empowerment through skill trainings, entrepreneur trainings as well as income generating activities. We also concentrate on other programs related to education, livelihood trainings, relief for poor, sick, disabled, aged, children and other weaker sections of the society. The main aim is to assist and to provide required support to socially backward and marginalized people. Along with women upliftment programs, MF is also working in rural areas for protecting environment through lake restoration works, which increases water density in lake and recharge under ground water. People are benefitting by the lake water to improve their agriculture and for domestication. The Silt is a good fertilizer so farmers use this silt to their lands to increase fertility of the soil.

1. INITIATIVE IS TO STRENTHEN THE LEADERSHIP, POWER & VOICE OF GIRLS & WOMEN WHO UNDESERVED & MARGINALISED. 2. TO PROMOTE SEXUAL & REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS OF GIRLS & WOMEN THROUGH AWARENESS, HEALTH EDUCATION AND SUPPORT ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE. 3. TO EMPOWER WOMEN ECONOMICALLY THROUGH TARGETED VOCATIONAL BUILDING INITIATIVES. 4. TO EDUCATE GIRLS & WOMEN TO ESCAP FROM POVERTY, TO LEAD HEALTHIER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE LIVES, AND RAISING THE STANDARD OF LIVING FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES.

Leadership and Gender Training for federation women

Under TEED Trust , Yellapur , Chethana Women's self help federation organized 2 days training program . Ms. Pramila, Secretary of MF was invited as resource person to enlighten the participants.
Skill training for teen age girls at Ambedkar Nagara

A program was conducted for teenage girls during Sundays and government holidays. The program included basic tailoring course.
Workshop on Women Entrepreneurship

With the support of Tisser, Maanushi foundation took initiative to train 50 women to start up their own business. The program was held in and around Mysuru district.
